Sarfaraz Khan made headlines as a powerful hitter in the Under-19 tournaments. He played for India in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, where his aggressive style impressed the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). They signed him for INR 50 lakh, making him the youngest IPL player at that time. In 2015, he played 13 matches, scoring 111 runs. He stayed with RCB for four seasons before moving to Punjab Kings and then Delhi Capitals.

3. Riyan Parag (17 Years, 152 Days)
Riyan Parag, an all-rounder from Assam, played for India in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup. He was signed by Rajasthan Royals for INR 20 lakhs. Riyan made history by scoring a half-century at just 17 years old, becoming the youngest player to achieve this feat in IPL. He was bought back by the Royals before the 2022 season for INR 3.8 crore. Afghanistan’s Mujeeb ur Rahman made his IPL debut a season before Riyan Parag. He holds the record as the youngest overseas player to debut in the IPL. Mujeeb impressed with his bowling skills in the Afghanistan Under-19 Asia Cup, leading to his international debut at age 16. The Kings XI Punjab bought him for INR 4 crore. Prayas Ray Barman made history on March 31, 2019, by becoming the youngest player ever to play in the IPL, debuting for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was the best bowler for Bengal in the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. RCB acquired him for INR 1.5 crore after a bidding war with Punjab Kings. Unfortunately, Barman had a tough debut match, conceding 56 runs without taking a wicket against Sunrisers Hyderabad. So far, this match is the only one he has played in the IPL.
