Batting first, Kohli and Rahul continued the good start from the openers Rohit and Shubman and put on an unbeaten 233-run partnership for the third wicket. India scored 356 in 50 overs and won the match by 228 runs. It was the third Super Four match of the 2023 edition.

2 Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez (Pak): 224 runs vs India, 2012

Opening for Pakistan against rivals India in the 2012 Asia Cup group match, Hafeez and Jamshed recorded a 224-run partnership to set a solid platform for Pakistan to score 329/6 in their 50 overs. However, Pakistan lost as India registered a 6-wicket victory thanks to Virat Kohli’s majestic 183.

India’s Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli set the third-highest partnership in the 50-overs Asia Cup. Chasing a stiff target of 280 runs against Bangladesh, Kohli and Rahane put on a 213-run partnership for the third wicket. They helped India to a six-wicket victory in 49 overs. It was the second group stage match of the 2014 edition.
