Australia won the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 by defeating India by 79 runs in the final match. 5. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Cheteshwar Pujara performed very well in the U19 World Cup 2006. Even though the Indian team had to face defeat in the final, Pujara left his mark in this tournament.

Pakistan was all out for 109 runs in this match, in response to which India lost all wickets and scored only 71 runs. However, Cheteshwar Pujara was the highest run scorer in this tournament. He scored 349 runs at a strike rate of over 116 and also won the Player of the Tournament award.

After 4 years, Cheteshwar Pujara made his Test debut against Australia and at present he has scored 7195 runs in 103 Test matches at a strike rate of over 43. Cheteshwar Pujara has played many important innings for the Indian team so far.

2. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is also from the 2006 batch of which Cheteshwar Pujara was. He performed very well in this tournament with bowling.

However, after this, Rajasthan Royals included Ravindra Jadeja in their team in the Indian Premier League 2008. Ravindra Jadeja entered the Indian team in 2009. Jadeja’s place in the Indian team was confirmed after the 2013 Champions Trophy. Before this, he was mostly seen in and out of the team.

1. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma participated in the U19 World Cup 2006 as an all-rounder. Not only this, he also took a wicket in the final played against Pakistan. However, Rohit Sharma failed to perform well in batting and was out after scoring four runs.

However, Rohit Sharma scored 205 runs in the entire tournament at an average of 41. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, Mahendra Singh Dhoni included Rohit Sharma in his team and India won it. Not only this, Rohit Sharma played as an all-rounder for the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League 2008 and performed quite well.

In 2010, Mumbai Indians bought Rohit, however, due to injury, he could play only as a batsman.
