Virat Kohli brought up his eighth century in the Indian Premier League in RCB’s (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) clash against RR (Rajasthan Royals) on Saturday. Virat also extended his record as the battler with the most number of 100s in the IPL.
The RCB batter was on song at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, as his team posted a 183-run total after batting first. Once again, it was Kohli who anchored the innings, right until the end.
The star batter ended the innings with 113 runs off 72 balls. He scored 11 boundaries and four sixes in his outing. Kohli passed the 100-run landmark in 67 balls.
The century against RR meant that Kohli has now hit the join-slowest century in IPL history. He is also the batter to take the most balls to score a century on Indian soil.
