Professional boxing is making an exciting comeback in India this Sunday with The Super Fighter Series at the famous Sunburn Union in Bengaluru. The main event will be a WBA Asia Middle East title fight in the super lightweight division between India’s Faizan Anwar and Ghana’s Kpakpo Allotey.
Faizan Anwar, a 24-year-old boxer from Kolkata, has a perfect record of 19 wins and no losses. His most recent fight was in November 2024, where he defeated Tom Summerbell by unanimous decision.

The third edition of the Super Fighter Series, organized by Grassroot Boxing and Crown Boxing Promotions, is coming soon. After successful events in Bengaluru (November 2024) and Bangkok (February 2025), this exciting fight night will return to Bengaluru. It will feature 10 thrilling matches, including four international fights and two WBA Asia Middle East title bouts. For the first time in India, fans can enjoy world-class boxing combined with lively pub culture at the famous Sunburn Union in Bengaluru.
One of the main fights will be between Danylo Honcharuk from Ukraine and Ruslan Kamilov from Dagestan. In the women’s fight, Belarus star Aleksandra Sitnikova will face India’s Rani Devi—a match expected to be a crowd favorite.
Several well-known Indian boxers will also compete, including Ritesh Singh Bisht, Kavinder Singh Bisht, Vanlalawmpuia, and F Zoramchhana. Young talents living and training in Bengaluru like Kamla Roka, Rohit Choudhary, and Harsha Saroha will also join. International fighters like Ramanthan Mpagi from Uganda and Ruslan Kamilov from Russia are on the card too.

“This event is more than just a boxing night—it’s a step to bring Indian boxing to the world,” said Mujtaba Kamal, founder of Grassroot Boxing and a former Indian boxer. Rani Kamal, co-founder, confirmed that all preparations are done and tickets will be available on BookMyShow.
