The national team camp is starting from May 30. Fahmidul Islam has arrived in Bangladesh from Italy to join Bangladesh’s preliminary squad for the Asian Cup qualifiers. He arrived in Dhaka from Rome, Italy, by Bangladesh Biman at 8 am.
The BFF protocol officer has arrived at Dhaka airport for Fahmidul. After the airport formalities, he will be taken to the Bangladesh team hotel. The day after tomorrow, other footballers who have been called up to other national teams will also join. Fahmidul arrived first.

The Bangladesh team arrived in Dhaka from Saudi Arabia without Italian expatriate footballer Fahmidul Islam in the March window. Coach Javier Cabrera was heavily criticized for excluding Fahmidul. Supporters also held a protest march to bring him back to the team. Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan summoned the BFF president on the Fahmidul issue.
Fahmidul practiced for more than a week in the Saudi Arabia camp. BFF officials were also surprised that the coach did not bring the promising player to Dhaka.
