The SAFF Under-17 Football Tournament will begin in Sri Lanka tomorrow, Monday (September 15). The seven-nation tournament will be held at the Race Course Ground in Colombo. On the first day, Nepal will face hosts Sri Lanka in Group A. The other team in the same group is Bangladesh.

At a SAFF press conference held in Colombo on Sunday, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Huda Faisal said, “We practiced hard for seven weeks before coming. We are fit in every way. No one is injured. I respect all my opponents. We will enter the field with respect for Nepal in the first match.” Coach Golam Rabbani Choton also looks at the opposing teams with respect, “I respect all the teams. My boys are also ready to fight. The first match is against Nepal. The opponent is strong. I believe the audience will enjoy this match.”
