The National Football Championship has started after three years. The competition was inaugurated at the Munshiganj venue on August 30. After a break of ten days, the matches were played again today at a total of 15 venues.

Out of the 15 matches, 9 home teams, Comilla, Narayanganj, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Feni, Rangamati, Kushtia, Natore and Rajshahi, won. Dhaka, Faridpur, Noakhali, Bandarban, Lakshmipur, Chapai Nawabganj, Pabna and Bogra lost to these teams respectively. Among the away teams, Naoga and Mymensingh defeated Joypurhat and Manikganj by 1-0 goals.

Out of the 15 matches played today, four matches were drawn. Rajbari-Shariatpur and Tangail-Netrokona drew by 1-1 goals, Sherpur-Sirajganj goalless and Gazipur-Jamalpur drew by 2-2 goals.

This time the national championship is being held on a home and away basis. The results will be based on two home and away matches. If two matches are equal, the result will be decided on a tiebreaker.

The 32 winning teams will play again on a home and away basis. The federation plans to organize the final in the third week of November in the presence of the AFC President.
