England fast bowler Freya Davies has retired from professional cricket at the age of 29. She has chosen to start a new career in law and will work as a trainee solicitor, aiming to succeed in a completely different field. Her retirement ends a long cricket journey that lasted more than 15 years.

Davies made her international debut in March 2019, playing a T20I against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Her final game for England was in 2023 against Australia at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Her last competitive match was for Hampshire in the One-Day Cup final against Lancashire at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on September 21.
