Zico, one of Brazil’s greatest footballers, said Ancelotti understands Brazilian football well. He has always supported Brazilian players and helped them succeed in his teams.
“He loves football and thinks about the game like we do in Brazil,” said Zico in Japan, where he works as an advisor to a J. League club.
Ancelotti, now 65, has won five Champions League titles and coached big clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. This is his first time coaching a national team.
Zico also mentioned that fewer Brazilian coaches are working abroad now, especially in places like Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.
